Wang introduces low-cost VS 6000

Wang laboratories recently introduced its new low-cost VS 6000/Server, a series of virtual systems. The server, mainly targeted to small businesses and departments within large companies, has been designed to be used as a traditional mid-range computer or as an application server in a client/server environment.

Architectural features include support of up to 256 users. The system has been built with microprocessor technology that includes a VS central processor on one high-density, high-performance microprocessor chip. The engineering of the VS 6000 allows VS 5000 easy upgrading to new systems.
