S. Vassalo named Manufacturer of the Year
Salvador V. Vassallo, president of Industrias Vassallo Inc., has been named Manufacturer of the Year for 1991 by the San Juan Minority Business Development Center (SJMBDC).
SJMBDC is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency. The center is operated in conjunction with the Puerto Rico Products Association and is headed by Juan Rivera Bigas.
Founded in Puerto Rico in 1962, Industrias Vassallo manufactures polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes, fittings and gaskets. The company, which holds 39 product patents, is one of three firms in the world with a patent to produce …
