Gitty's to open Xuxa departments in stores

The locally owned toy store chain Gitty's Toys Inc. is in the midst of opening a new department, which will be called Xuxerias, in each of its 24 stores. The department will feature a complete line of toys and school supplies which will be marketed under the name of the popular Brazilian singer, Xuxa.

According to Luis Rodriguez Delgado, president of Gitty's Toys, as of Sept. 14 the stores will start selling two types of Xuxa dolls, including a 11.5-inch doll, which will be sold for $12.50, and a 22-inch doll, which will have a retail price of $39.
