VCR Career Group in step with outplacement

In less than two years, VCR Career Group Inc., one of the first Puerto Rico firms solely devoted to outplacement, has become one of the leading players in this field. Even though outplacement is not yet a large market on the island, VCR Career Group does have competition from several companies, such as Right Associates and Hewitt Associates, with parent companies on the U.S. mainland. According to Victor Colon, president of VCR Career Group, outplacement is growing very fast in Puerto Rico. Many executive search firms, however, provide the service despite the fact that it actually creates a conflict of interests.
