Applied Materials Israel expects to reach $2 million in exports in its first operational year, 1991. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Applied Materials Inc., of the U.S.A., which reported 1990 revenues of $567 million. On June 3, Applied Materials celebrated the opening of its Israel Technology Center, devoted to development of state-of-the-art software and hardware controllers for the company's highly-automated semiconductor manufacturing systems.
