Triple-S has increase in earned premiums

Of total $285M in premiums written, $276M were by parent firm, Puerto Rico's largest provider of health insurance

Seguros de Servicio de Salud (Triple-S) and its subsidiaries showed an 8.8% increase in earned premiums in 1990, according to the report to be given to shareholders at the annual assembly on April 28.

"We had a good year," said Miguel Vazquez, president of Triple-S. "We surpassed our projected goal for premiums this year."

The increase translates to a total $285 million in premiums written by the company. Of that total, $276 million were for the parent company, Puerto Rico's largest provider …
