Call me old fashioned, but the lexicon of laptops always confuses me. Suppliers seem to revel in putting out statements that appear at once harmonious and ambiguous. Only those with a degree in software engineering will probably know what a 'dual axis accelerometer' actually is. As for all the talk of convergence, convenience, integration and interfacing, it's no good. I still feel like a helpless rabbit in the IT headlights.
It stands to reason that the three key issues for consumers today--as they have been since the first person decided to pick up a computer and run with it--are price, compatibility and durability. Everything else is a sideshow.
