Financial planners open chapter in P.R.

A group of local financial executives has opened a local chapter of the International Association for Financial Planners (IAFP) to bring together financial planners from various disciplines and promote wealth accumulation and preservation in Puerto Rico, given the Commonwealth's financial peculiarities.

Members cover such fields as accounting, investment, insurance, banking law, and financial planning itself. The emphasis is on "coming together as teachers to one another and as a cohesive advisory group for our clients," according to a prepared statement.
