FOUR-SPEED PRINTER The Microline 393 24-pin printer runs in near-letter-quality mode at about 160 characters per second (cps), in letter-quality mode at 120 cps, in utility mode at 360 cps, and in high-speed draft mode at 450 cps. It prints on multipart forms, cut sheets, labels, and envelopes, and you can print a single sheet without removing continous-form paper from the printer.
It has Centronics parallel and RS-232 serial interfaces and emulates all Okidata and Epson LQ series printers. It comes with letter-quality, letter-quality proportional, near-letter-quality, and high-speed utility fonts. Two optional font cartridges cost $49 each. It comes in a black-only model for $1,399; a color model with three process colors and black costs $1,499.

SPREADSHEET AND COLOR MONITORS
Thomson's Spreadsheet Monitor has a 14-inch amber screen that displays 132 characters across, large enough to include a spreadsheet column for each month as well as a totals column. You can use the monitor with both monochrome and color graphics cards; the monitor converts color signals into 16 amber shades.
