DELIVERING CRITICAL INFORMATION

During 1986 many executives in large companies got their first personal computers. Now that the novelty has worn off, they have begun to ask what to do with them. Some companies have found a good answer. They are connecting their PCs into a visual early-warning system (VEWS), thereby converting PCs from costly paperweights into competitive weapons. Such systems help executives make informed decisions by delivering up-to-the-minute information that's tailored to their needs.
