A new program by Xpercom Corp. (Carrollton, Tex.) has kicked the Socratic method into the computer age. Thoughtline helps business people prepare reports and speeches by asking a series of questions and using the answers to build a document outline. According to the company's president, Dan Burns, "Thoughtline won't necessarily turn an accountant into a Pulitzer-prize-winning author, but it will help people focus their ideas."
