A pair of software programs developed at the University of New Orleans (UNO, College of Engineering, New Orleans, LA 70148; Tel: 504/280-3994) is expected to aid shipbuilders in tracking and improving their environmental performance.

The university has licensed the programs to software development firm SofTek Systems, Inc. (3501 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70002; Tel: 504/836-7436), which has signed a contract with the University of New Orleans Technology Transfer Office to promote and market the applications.
