LSI Logic Corp. is trying to get a leg up in the fast-growing yet fiercely competitive DSL chip market by integrating more functions and increasing the connectivity range of its analog front-end (AFE) product portfolios.
Addressing the DSL sector's crucial price/functionality ratio, LSI Logic's new SpeedReach AFE IC family combines a 5-V integrated line driver and digitally controlled crystal scillator to lower pin count and keep costs down, according to the company.
