Lucent Technologies recently announced that it has been awarded a broadband access network expansion project by Guangzhou Telecom. Under the multimillion dollar contract, Lucent will supply Guangzhou Telecom with its Stinger digital subscriber line (DSL) access concentrators for Guangzhou, the provincial capital of Guangdong Province in Southern China.
