AffiniTech, Ltd. (Bentonville, AR; Tel: 501/464-0991, Fax: 501/464-0993) has developed an immunobead-flow cytometry assay for simultaneously detecting several antigens or antibodies in a sample. The process has applications in testing for a wide range of autoimmune diseases, including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Other diseases that have direct applications include systemic lupus erythematosis, rheumatoid arthritis, progressive systemic sclerosis, and congenital complete heart block.
