During a few wintery days last April, some major league games were postponed due to inclement weather. It's not that games can't be played in the cold. Just ask former Tiger Jack Morris, who is a broadcaster with the Minnesota Twins.
"When I was with the Indians," Morris said, "I pitched the first night game ever at Jacobs Field. I didn't get the opener, but I got the first night game ... it was 17 degrees with snow flurries."
Morris gave up two runs to Seattle in five innings that night and won, but he doesn't recommend that kind of weather to any ballplayer, let alone a pitcher.
