In person, just like on television, Free comes across as a warm and welcoming. She greeted me with welcoming arms and even though this was a phone interview, I could feel the love. "I'm proud of you girl you doing your thing, I see you everywhere, people are taking about you," she said. Her personality coupled with her ability to communicate has opened up many opportunities for her. Here she share a little bit of herself with Blackgirl Magazine readers.

Blackgirl Magazine (BG): Everyone knows you from BET'S 106 & Park, however, many people may not know about your upbringing. Tell us about where you were born and raised, and what your early childhood was like?
Free: I was Born and raised in Dorchester, in the Roxsbury section of Boston. I grew up in the four corner area. I'm not sure where to start about my childhood. I have two loving parents who did a lot of things like putting me in dancing school and we also had family gamenights. We were a tight family, because of it all. Everyone was always together.
