Although I read the Generations publication quite often, I generally take more interest in the stories and poems. After reading an article from a women from Glendora, CA, I decided I would like to share a special thought from a parent's perspective about our son Chris and his disease.

We lost our son Chris in 1992 from complications surrounding his Friedreich's Ataxia. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. He was an energetic child, good student and a wonderful son. His ataxia did not become apparent until he was in high school. He suffered from inability to balance when walking or bending over. His grip did not allow him to hold things well. …
