Although I read the Generations publication quite often, I generally take more interest in the stories and poems. After reading an article from a women from Glendora, CA, I decided I would like to share a special thought from a parent's perspective about our son Chris and his disease.
We lost our son Chris in 1992 from complications surrounding his Friedreich's Ataxia. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. He was an energetic child, good student and a wonderful son. His ataxia did not become apparent until he was in high school. He suffered from inability to balance when walking or bending over.
