The Northern California Ataxia Support Group held its quarterly meeting on Saturday, March 29, 2003, in the recreation hall of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lafayette, CA. We had a turnout of 47 members. Eleanor (Ellie) Anderson served such a great lunch that there were hardly any "leftovers."

Once everyone was seated for the luncheon, our Support Group Leader, Mike Fernandes, introduced Rev. Dan Senter, Pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and he gave a brief, but eloquent, invocation. Mike then presented Pastor Dan, as he likes to be addressed, a beautiful, oak veneer podium (lectern), donated by our Support Group to his Church. The brass plate on the face of this podium states that the donor is the Northern California Ataxia Support Group of the National Ataxia Foundation and inscribed on this plate is: "Thank You For Serving Our Group's Needs …
