Scie-plas (Unit 3 Gainsborough Trading Estate, Old Road, Southam, Warwickshire, U.K.; Tel: 44/1926-814093, Fax: 44/1926-813975) has introduced a mini vertical gel unit and casting system. The company says the system enhances resolution and usability for both pre-cast and hand-cast polyacrylamide gels.

Applications include protein and nucleic acid separations, mini SDS-page, preparative peptide, and gradient pore separations. The TV100 and TV100Y are compatible with the majority of commercially available pre-cast gels measuring up to 10 by 10 cm.
