The mixed system combines a modified polyethylene glycose (PEG6000) with polyethylene sorbitan monooleate and a Tween-80 aqueous K2HPO4-KH2PO4 liquid-solid extraction system. Until now, use of such a combination for separating and purifying hemoglobin has not been reported, writes Hin-Ru Shen, lead chemist, and her team in American Biotechnology Laboratory [20(13), 2002, 24-26]. …
