Alternative Green Energy Systems, Inc. (AGES, 5333 176th St., Surrey, British Columbia, Canada V3S 0L5; Tel: 800/561-8656, Fax: 604/575-3166) will prepare a preliminary engineering study at Hollywood Park Racetrack (Inglewood, CA) for building a self contained co-generation plant fueled by track waste, mostly biomass and horse manure.

Using the AGES KDS Combustion System, the self-supporting plant would eliminate all energy, transportation and environmental costs associated with animal waste disposal, while generating 5 MW to 7 MW of electricity, enough to power and heat the entire track and entertainment complex.
