Deutsche Post Increases DHL Stake: Deutsche Post, the former German postal monopoly, has purchased Lufthansa Cargo's 25 percent interest in DHL International for 610 million euros ($597.8 million), lifting its stake in the global air-express carrier to 75.6 percent. Deutsche Post is negotiating with two investment funds, Chester Investment and Exeter Investment, to buy their joint 22.8 percent stake in Brussels-based DHL by the end of the year. It also said it plans to buy Japan Airlines' 1.5 percent stake in DHL.
