* Osmonics, Inc. (Minnetonka, MN) plans to close their Syracuse, New York, plant by the end of the second quarter 2002. The move is part of continuing efforts to rationalize product lines and to reduce excess manufacturing capacity. The plan's major product line, home reverse osmosis membrane elements, will be relocated to a manufacturing unit within Osmonics' Minnetonka headquarters. Employees of the Syracuse operation are being offered either severance packages or opportunities to transfer.
