Waterparks looking to do television advertising this summer will no longer have to have a Hollywood-sized budget. The World Waterpark Association has put together pre-produced TV ads for a fraction of the cost of making a commercial.
"TV exposure is a great way for [water-parks] to visually show how much fun they have there," said Gina Kellogg, director of communications for the WWA.
Three humorous 30-second spots are available, with options for customized voiceover, the park's logo, and text tailored to each park. The price for one commercial is $3,000, two for $5,000 and all three for $6,500. WWA says the ads cost about $15,000 to make. Only members of the Overland Park, Kan.-based organization are eligible to buy the advertisements.
