WJ Communications today announced the availability of the MIB1000 Kit for developing end-item products such as RFID-enabled printers based on embedded MPR RFID cards.

The MIB1000 Kit is built on circuit card assembly (CCA) providing a standard serial or USB control interface to WJ's multi-protocol UHF RFID PC-card products.

"The MIB1000 Kit enables customers to use and operate our MPR Series PCMCIA Cards via a standard USB or serial port. Anyone with a modern personal computer can use the MPR Series RFID card products," said Chuck Lau, vice president-RFID of WJ Communications. "WJ is also offering its MIB CCA reference design to customers. The MIB1000 Kit makes it simple to connect and operate MPR Series RFID cards from any computer or terminal with standard USB or serial port connections."
