Gateway today launched its new spring lineup of notebook PCs, including the company's new Gateway 6010GZ next-generation widescreen notebook.

"Retail PC shoppers are in for a surprise with this new line of Gateway notebook PCs," said Dan Stevenson, Gateway's vice president of product marketing. "The selection and values that we provide with this new line are absolutely first-rate. The Gateway 6010GZ combines the most sought-after mobile features like a widescreen display and sleek form factor at an aggressive price. This is a direct result of our work to reduce costs and enhance efficiencies, which is also evident throughout the entire new line of Gateway retail PCs."

Cost for the Gateway 6010GZ 15.4-inch widescreen display notebook is $999. Another model, the Gateway 6510GZ, features an Intel Pentium M processor, Intel Centrino Mobile Technology and a DVD+/-R/RW drive. It has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,249.99.
