When it comes to accessories this fall, have a little faith in the unknown. Forgo the expected Blahnik or Choo for something strappy and perhaps turquoise from Dacade (Laurance, that is; she's not yet on surname terms). Give up that Stella bag for an equally capacious and hardware'd number from Luella (as in Bartley, if her Christian name isn't enough). Mix up your Mikimotos with some strands of freshwater pearls-and baby skulls!-from Made Her Think (or MHT, or Meredith Kahn's supercool new collection). Or wear everything at once and keep onlookers guessing.

Here's the point: As fashion has become a game of looking like yourself while wearing the designs of others, accessories are the final balls to be thrown in the air. This season, you don't want to see your bag or your baubles coming and going, let alone your feet. And so you buy ...
