Texas just needs things bigger. From the food to the skyline, the Lone Star State demands size. Even when--and some might say, especially when--it comes to their pools.
This March marked the one-year anniversary of the University of Houston's magnificent and monumental $53 million Campus Recreation and Wellness Center, which proudly boasts one of the biggest and, by all accounts the finest, collegiate competition pools in the country. As if that weren't enough, there's an outdoor leisure pool as well, complete with a 23-foot water slide.
