Dec. 10--First Tennessee's $4.125 million naming-rights deal for a proposed minor league ballpark in Nashville is another move in its marketing push in Middle Tennessee.

The Memphis-based bank agreed Nov. 22 to spend $275,000 annually for 15 years starting in 2006, which is when the proposed baseball stadium for the Nashville Sounds is expected to open.

The Sounds are a Pacific Coast League rival of the Memphis Redbirds, whose nest is AutoZone Park. The Nashville stadium will be called First Tennessee Field.
