A favorite casserole like tuna noodle deserves an update from time to time. This version replaces the usual can of mushroom soup with a can of good-quality clam chowder (we love the Wolfgang Puck version). It gives the tuna a helping hand by adding its own seafood flavor and creamy texture. Capers and dill enliven the sauce and a spritz of lemon at the table finishes the dish.

Pappardelle is an Italian pasta that is wider than fettuccine. But any type of noodle can be used.

Continue an Italian theme with bread and biscotti from the bakery and steamed broccoli dusted with freshly grated Parmesan.
