Aug. 1--An alternative fueling facility featuring a triple-fuel dispenser will soon open at the Amigo Mart at 1229 Cerrillos Road, at Baca Street.
The facility, called the Baca Street Biofuels Station, is the work of Charles Bensinger and Richard Mason, who have formed a business called Renewable Energy Partners to reduce the use of fossil fuels and encourage the use of biofuels, which they say will result in cleaner air and may even help promote world peace.
The opening of the biofuels station comes as the price of crude oil recently reached a new all-time high of $43 per barrel, driven by the threat of a production stop by a major Russian oil producer.
