I'm sure that almost all CIT readers would admit to living it up on occasion, but an incident at the recent IMEX show in Frankfurt left me wondering whether restraint might not be a better approach to adopt in professional situations.

I experienced not one but two spectacular post-champagne accidents on day one. The first involved a hotel chain's well-stocked brochure rack toppling into the aisle, the other saw a tipsy delegate tripping into a plastic wall, glass in hand. Events were no better on the second day, when I witnessed another entertaining casualty.
