MIAMI _ Annoyed that Ricky Williams retired suddenly?
Or do you say "good for him" and respect his personal choice?
Either way, there are sites popping up all over the Internet dedicated to the former Dolphins running back.
On www.pleasecomebackricky.tk, Kris Moody offers a petition for Williams to come back along with items of note. Moody, a transplanted Dolphins fan who lives in Glassboro, N.J., says Williams is his favorite player in all of sports.
"It's simply that, as someone wholly desperate to have Ricky change his mind, I don't see current vitriolic criticism as helpful in the least," Moody said via e-mail of the other sites. "I've never been one of that `Bench Fiedler, Start Griese, Bench Griese, Start Fiedler, Fire Wanny' type of fan. I just love the Dolphins, heart and soul, win or lose. If I appeal to his better judgment from the heart, maybe I can get Ricky to come back to us and become the ultimate definition of an outstanding Dolphin. It's worth a shot."
There are plenty of negative sites as well, including Adam Goodman's www.screwricky.com. Goodman has received more than 2,000 positive e-mails, including many from fans of other AFC East teams.
