DALLAS _ The Chicago White Sox trade for Freddy Garcia and Carl Everett, Minnesota does nothing, and it's the Twins that have taken hold of the AL Central.

Minnesota completed a three-game sweep of the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field earlier in the week for a four-game lead. The Twins had won nine of their last 10 games entering Friday.

The Twins have made one move, bringing back top prospect Justin Morneau from the minors, setting up a possible trade of first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz.

Minnesota relished its sweep in Chicago, particularly Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning victory that saw Morneau have two homers reversed by umpires.
