Winston-Salem, N.C., Chamber Seeks Volunteers for Programs to Help Youths.

Nov. 14--The Greater Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce is appealing to local businesses to get involved in programs aimed at preparing young people for the work force and the business world.

The chamber said that the programs need volunteers beginning in January.

"We're trying to let businesses know that these opportunities do exist," Annessa Warehime, the chamber's work force development manager, said yesterday.

The chamber, in collaboration with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system, Junior Achievement of Northwest North Carolina, KidCommerce USA and the Youth Council of the Northwest Piedmont Workforce …
