Jul. 29--Palomar Pomerado Health System officials are using the power of television to help spread the word about the hospital district's plans for a $753 million expansion that would be largely funded through increased property taxes.

A 30-second ad the district created with the help of a consultant is airing this week on local network affiliate and cable TV channels.

The commercial features Kim Colonelli, director of emergency and trauma services at Palomar, talking about the health district's commitment to providing the community with emergency and trauma care.

The ad follows another that ran last week. …
