Economic Development Efforts Woo Two Tech Firms to Winston-Salem, N.C.

Jun. 28--Two small technology companies said yesterday that they are moving their headquarters to Winston-Salem.

A third company is asking Winston-Salem and Forsyth County for incentives if it decides to move into Union Cross Business Park.

Tangent Technology Inc., a software-development company, expects to move from Conover before the end of the year. The company has 10 employees and plans to increase that to 50 with an average annual salary of $71,000 over the next five years.

Last week, the Winston-Salem City Council approved a $100,000 low-interest loan for Tangent. The money will be used for equipment, building …
