Jul. 15--The paint's still wet on a few doors and there's a few last touch-ups to be made, but Kegel Company Inc. -- a manufacturer of bowling lane cleaners and conditioners -- is ready to celebrate its new home in Lake Wales' Longleaf Business Park.
The company is the first to move into the park, a 100-acre park divided into 26 lots and located on U.S. 27 South, that the city plans as a high-end business center. Kegel has been operating out of its 74,000-square-foot facility since February but is celebrating its official grand opening at 7 tonight. Before moving into the park, Kegel was located in two buildings in Sebring.
"This building was built from the ground up for us," said Jonathan Davis, Kegel's chief financial officer and son of the company's founder. "The Sebring buildings were renovated for us, and we didn't really fit."
