Aug. 11--Jemmell Burch isn't surprised to hear that the number of students in Elmore County schools is expected to continue growing. She sees that growth through the eyes of her two children every day.

"It's bad here," said Burch, who has one child enrolled at Millbrook Middle/Junior High School, and another at Stanhope Elmore High School. "We have some good people and good schools here, but they can only do so much with no money."
