Oct. 15--A popular water park in Saco is headed for auction, following a foreclosure by its former owners.

Aquaboggan's entire 40-acre park is on the block, from the "three twisting, turning, curving waterslides" and "dual suislides" to the Olympic-size swimming pool and 750,000-gallon wave pool, according to the auction house, Paul McInnis Inc. The auction is scheduled for 11 a.m. Nov. 6 at Aquaboggan, at 980 Portland Road.

The planned auction is the latest twist in a story that includes a nearly $1 million personal injury verdict against the park and an owner facing prison time in Iowa for breaking U.S. immigration laws. That man, John Glessner, is also a close business associate of A.J. "Jack" DeCoster, the former Turner egg farmer who's also facing prison time in a related case in Iowa.
