Oct. 29--DAYTON, Ohio--Dump trash illegally in Dayton and you could end up in the movies.

City of Dayton staff members are now using the Internet to emphasize that it's cheaper and less embarrassing to dispose of refuse legally. A video clip of convicted dumper Dean Hanley, 50, carrying out his sentence by whacking weeds in a Dayton neighborhood can now be viewed on the city's Web site: www.cityofdayton.org.

Video surveillance cameras installed around Dayton to catch illegal dumpers have resulted in three convictions to date. Hanley's crime: Ditching six bags of roofing shingles in an alley several blocks from his home. …
