Jul. 30--ONTARIO, Calif.--NAMM California, an Ontario-based physician management organization, has not been affected by the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing of parent company PhyCor of Nashville, officials said Monday.

With affiliate entities, including PrimeCare Medical Network Inc., NAMM California is one of the state's biggest physician management groups, owning or managing more than 23 independent physician associations.

An IPA serves as the administrative arm for a group of doctors, contracting with various health plans to provide medical coverage for plans' members.
