WASHINGTON _ President Bush turned the White House lawn into a playground Thursday as he kicked off a national health and fitness campaign and urged Americans to exercise at least 30 minutes a day.

"Better health is an individual responsibility, and it is an important national goal," said Bush, an avid athlete who frequently lifts weights and runs seven-minute miles. "The evidence is clear: A healthier America is a stronger America."
