Aug. 14--West Chicago's support for plans to build a high-technology research park on land owned by DuPage Airport could be measured by the low turnout and absence of controversy at a public forum Tuesday.

An informal presentation on the topic in West Chicago's City Hall attracted about a dozen people and generally polite questions--a sharp contrast to the furor in 1997 and 1998 over proposals to build a motor speedway and then a giant rail-truck shipping terminal on the same property.
