Aug. 5--For a startup biotech company, it could take five to seven years to research, develop and launch a product.
However, the nearly 2-year-old Efficas in Boulder is hoping to shorten that time to 18 to 36 months. It already has acquired the license to an allergy bioactive that could be launched as early as 2006.
"Obviously, being young like we are, it's important to be able to leverage ourselves among the competition by having key partnerships," said Mark Braman, Efficas president and chief executive officer.
