Oct. 30--The Davidson County Economic Development Commission has two possible sites in mind for a 1,000-acre business park that it hopes will attract new industry as well as hundreds of jobs.
The commission also wants to create a special tax zone for the park to allow any tax revenue to be distributed to each of the cities that invest in it, Steve Googe, the executive director of the Davidson County Economic Development Commission, said yesterday. Such an ordinance would have to be approved by the N.C. General Assembly, he said.
