FPT Communications has been ordered to shut down its newly-launched Internet telephone service after the government decided it went ahead without proper authorisation.
The Ministry of Post and Telematics (MPT) said FPT Communications had not received an inter-ministerial operating certificate before launching the service last week. According to regulations, service providers must be approved by the ministries of post and telematics, public security, culture and information and science and technology.
