Apr. 24--California Speedway has a Fontana address, but much of the revenue it generates each year ends up in Ontario and neighboring cities.
With this weekend's NAPA California 500 race just days away, Ontario's hotels and restaurants are packed. Rental cars are fully booked and traffic at Ontario International Airport is up.
The rush will soon be evident at Mercury Air Center at ONT, where private and corporate jets fly in and out daily. General Manager Shawn Beaver says there is nothing like a race weekend.
