Q. I work for an Illinois-based company that uses a performance review in which you are allowed to choose one person to comment in writing. When I asked to see what the person said, my supervisor refused, saying it was confidential. She did say it was favorable, but how do I know that? Can people say anything they want and I would never know about it?
